Welcome to Decadent City!

I even got my own chocolate!

"The best euro I've ever spent on one bite."

Ah Brussels! City of indulgence, city of decadence. I had in mind to try it all and could barely see it all. Of course we did get to see the little man who pissed (Manneken Pis), but honestly, if it hadn't been for all those tourists, we would never have known he was "peeing" there given the small size of the sculpture and fountain. Our Belgian visit also led us to the world famous Grand Place which was not so Grand when we visited considering all the construction going on down there but I would just love to see it on a sunny August afternoon when they create that giant patch of flowers.  In the meanwhile, I had to comfort myself by sampling quite a bit of fresh Belgian chocolates which led me to an amazing discovery: Neuhaus's Manon Noir! Simply exquisite.  A new favorite. The best euro I've ever spent on one bite. For your information, no, I haven't tasted "my" chocolate. Funny enough, I do not think I'd like it much but if you'd like to try it, head to Corne Port-Royal. Oh and psst...if you ever go to Brussels, don't go on a diet. The city emanates smells of chocolate, beer, waffles and French fries. Brussels, an experience high for your five senses.
